Fastest Centuries in IPL History: Check Top 5 List
1. Chris Gayle
This record still stands strong even after a decade. Chris Gayle is the fastest to reach a century in IPL history, in just 30 balls.
It was 2013, against Pune Warriors India, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Gayle continued to hit 175 not out, also the highest individual score in the IPL.

2. Vaibhav Suryavanshi
It is a story of a 14-year old boy who has made history. On 28 April 2025, Suryavanshi became the youngest cricketer to score a century in the IPL, at the age of 14 years and he did it in just 35 balls against Gujarat Titans. This put him second on the leaderboard having the second-fastest 100 in IPL history.
3. Vaibhav Suryavanshi
Yes, not just once but twice! On 25 April 2026, the teen sensation struck again. Suryavanshi played for Rajasthan Royals against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and slammed 103 runs in 37 balls, hitting a century in just 36 balls which is the third-fastest in the IPL.

With this innings, Suryavanshi became the first player ever in IPL to have two centuries in less than 40 balls.
4. Yusuf Pathan and Heinrich Klaasen
Yusuf Pathan was an IPL powerhouse in the early years. In 2010, while playing for the Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians, he blasted out a century in 37 balls in one of the most aggressive centuries by an Indian player at that time.
In 2025, Heinrich Klaasen achieved the same feat with a blistering century for Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Kolkata Knight Riders, taking 37 balls to reach the milestone. Two contrasting times, same number of balls which is a fascinating coincidence that illustrates the evolution of top class power hitting in the IPL.
5. David Miller
David Miller was a little-known cricketer till 2013. Until he played for Punjab Kings against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Miller hit a 38-ball century to lead Punjab to a thrilling chase against Bengaluru. It is one of the finest chases in the IPL.
